Angeline "Lena" Hatfield, 84, of Valentine Apartments, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Her loving family was by her side at the time of her passing. She was born on February 18, 1923 in Rome, a daughter of the late Michael and Palamina Mancini Fiaschetti and was raised and educated in locally. On July 19, 1947 in St. John the Baptist Church, Angeline, was united in marriage to William Hatfield; a blessed union of over 27 years. Lena was at one time employed at General Cable and Rome Memorial Hospital. She was a deeply religious woman of the Catholic Faith and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Lena was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother and dearly loved by all of her family and friends. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and David D'Aiuto, Elaine and Rodney Billman, and Elinor and Kim Kellogg, all of Rome; six cherished grandchildren, Alissa, Wayne, Jerome, Rodney "Skeeter", Craig, and Savannah; twelve great grandchildren; six brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Fiaschetti of FL, Michael and Gloria Fiaschetti, Louis Fiaschetti, Henry Fiaschetti, Gregory and Lucy Fiaschetti, and Anthony Fiaschetti, all of Rome; two special sisters-in-law, Philomena "Minnie" Fiaschetti and Marie Fiaschetti; a special cousin Louisa Tomassi; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends at Valentine Apartments. Lena had four very special friends, Mary Wilson, Jenny DePalma, Nellie Serino, and Stella Cole. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary LoGalbo and three brothers, James, Rocky, and Mariano Fiaschetti.
